Instructor Profile
Unlike a traditional classroom where students become better acquainted with the personality and skill set of their instructor through live interaction, students can often be left with nothing more than an instructor name and an email in an online course. Offer your students more than this:
-
You are an important facet in their college experience.
-
You are a mentor and the author of your students' course content.
-
You are setting them up for success and they need to know you are more than just a name attached to their course.
In the LMS systems, you are expected to create an Instructor area for students to navigate. The basics for your Instructor Profile are your name, email, phone, and office hours. You have options to add images, links, and more information about yourself listed under Additional Profile Ideas below.
