Faculty & Student Help Links

Faculty Help Links

There are faculty LMS help links to assist you in planning your online course. Links that are worth book-marking are:

For what reasons would I call ITS Helpdesk?  LMS Logins, bulk course copies, when students can't login to course, etc.

For what reasons would I call Online Learning? How to's with LMS tools (i.e. grade center), course development, training opportunities, enrolling faculty/staff to course, etc.

Checklist Items!

At CPCC, Online Instructors will have access to new semester course shells approximately 4 weeks before a semester begins. At that point, instructors may copy a master course into the shell or start building the course from scratch.

At CPCC, Online Students will have access to the new semester course on the first day of the scheduled class.

Student Help Links

In your course, ensure instructions and expectations are clear. Ask yourself: What is it I want my students to do and how do they do it?

Students who are new to online learning need an extra hand. Encourage them to review the CPCC LMS Essential Training.

As an extra Instructional Aid, LMS systems like Blackboard offer students YouTube Videos to help guide them through using Blackboard tools.

Bookmark the Blackboard YouTube link to offer additional resources to your students.  You should choose one or all and add them to the Resources page or to individual assignments in your course.
